Yup, it's difficult to believe, but The Wife hasn't killed me yet. Perhaps I'm doing something right. I can tell you this, it isn't because I'm rich; I'm not, I'm unemployed.

Unfortunately, she was asked to work today, and accepted. She was out of the house by 7:30am and won't be home until about 9:30pm. We did have a kiss and a bottle of wine last night to wish each other a Happy Anniversary. And, granted we did wear "Happy Anniversary" buttons that Disney provided last week when we were on our week-long vacation. The Disney cast members that noticed the buttons would wish us Happy Anniversary, and we were even offered a free dessert at the Teppanyaki restaurant, oh and a free custard with caramelized milk at one of the Food and Wine Festival stands; both located in the World Showcase of Epcot.

The Wife has to work tomorrow as well. She will probably leave tomorrow morning around 7:00am and not be home until 10:00pm, so celebrating much tonight is out. Saturday she works as well, so, I guess vacation and last night's bottle of wine was the celebration.

Now onto the house...

The plumber is coming by today to check on a horrible smell coming from the drains. Tomorrow the electrician is coming by to fix a couple of minor inconveniences. For example, the outlet on the kitchen island hasn't worked from day one.

We have planned a house warming party for November 11th and need to get a few more things done before then. For example, curtains, furniture delivery, and more unpacking.

My lawn has started to come up. I will try to get a picture posted sometime within the next week or so.

As for any kind of house imagery for today's post, I have put up a couple of small movies. They are basically walk-though's. One for the interior and one for the exterior. I made them with the disposable digital movie cameras available at CVS. They come out pretty good. Of course my walking while filming might not make for the steadiest camera work, or the most level (lots of lower half shots of rooms), but you can get a general idea of how the house is really laid out. The interior one was made the day of our closing (September 8th) before we moved anything into the house. The exterior one was made about a week later. As the house progresses, I'll try to add more. Oh yeah, and you will hear walking and doors opening and closing, but I did not speak during these first two movies.

The movies are located under a new sub-page for the house. Look for the link at the bottom of the main house page in the Images section.

Time to go, so I can be ready for the plumber's arrival. Later.
